The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) is a not-for-profit membership organisation representing mechanical engineers and other active participants working in HVAC&R and building services.

AIRAH represents the entire breadth of the HVAC&R industry, from “the man in the van” to research-focused academics; from plumbers and fridgies to designers of the nation’s most high-performing buildings; from sole operators to the chief executives of large corporations.

AIRAH is the only membership association with a focus on the whole of the Australian HVAC&R industry. ASHRAE (USA) and CIBSE (UK) are equivalent industry organisations in their respective countries.

HVAC&R Search and the HVAC&R Search Compendium reaches AIRAH’s members, industry decisionmakers, and companies.

A booking is valid for 12 months, with four levels available – Standard, Essential, Premium, or Storefront.

HVAC&R Search provides opportunities for greatly increased exposure based on your organisation’s level. This includes options to add products and services; brand logos; articles; PDFs; images; and videos to your company profile.

Your listing will last for 12 months from the date of booking.

A member of our team will contact you and set up your log-in. Once your booking and log-in details are confirmed, you will be able to log in and make changes/updates as required.

Yes, a free trial offering is available as a one-time offering for any company wishing to try out the site.

If you wish to book a trial on the HVAC&R Search site, you are able to do so here. The three-month free trial period can be booked between January–July each year.

Once your free trial is approved by a member of the HVAC&R Search team, you will have three months to test out the site at the Essential listing level. After this period, you’ll be asked to select a paid plan to continue your listing.

Please note: a free trial does not provide your organisation with a listing in the printed HVAC&R Search Compendium.

The HVAC&R Search Compendium is an annual A4 publication listing the key players in Australia’s HVAC&R industry.

10,000 copies are printed, of which approximately 8,500 are posted directly to AIRAH members and subscribers with Ecolibrium magazine, the official journal of AIRAH, in February each year.

The Compendium is also distributed Australia-wide at AIRAH’s major events. This includes Industry Nights, conferences, seminars, site visits and technical forums.

Bookings for HVAC&R Search and the Compendium open in August and close at the end of October.

Early-bird pricing closes in early October.

If you miss the late October deadline for a Compendium booking, unfortunately your company cannot be included in the printed directory for the following year. You will still be able to book a spot in the online directory, however. Please email us at info@hvacrsearch.com.au if you would like to discuss your options.

There are four levels – Standard (eighth-page), Essential (quarter-page), Premium (half-page), and Storefront (full-page). A combined online and print listing greatly increases exposure and touchpoint opportunities for your organisation.

While the Standard and Essential listing options are useful, affordable ways to be included in the directory, it is the Premium and Storefront levels that can provide your organisation with comprehensive entries in both the HVAC&R Search Compendium and on the website. Premium and Storefront organisations also receive increased exposure in their listing’s placement.

No – the price includes both your online and printed listing.

Your HVAC&R Search Compendium listing comes with a 12-month listing on the HVAC&R Search website. Although you don’t need to complete your listing, we highly recommend you do! It’s an easy and effective way to get your company in front of potential customers.

Typically, the printed publication initially comes out and is distributed in February. It’s then made available throughout the year at AIRAH’s major events.

After 13 years, the AIRAH Compendium took over the legacy of the annual AIRAH Industry Directory in 2019. The HVAC&R Search Compendium is bigger (A4 size) and bolder, in a modernised, easy-to-read format.

Even if you’ve missed the October booking deadline for the HVAC&R Search Compendium, you can still be listed on the HVAC&R Search website. Please email us at info@hvacrsearch.com.au if you would like to discuss your options.

Once you have an active listing, be sure to check your emails – we’ll be in contact once bookings open for next year’s publication, typically starting in August.

Yes – every company included on HVAC&R Search has been approved by the HVAC&R Search team. We cannot, however, guarantee the accuracy or availability of each listing. Please contact the company directly or speak to us at info@hvacrsearch.com.au if you have any concerns or questions.

Companies are responsible for their own listing on HVAC&R Search. If they’re not coming up in the search results, they have chosen not to be included.

The annual HVAC&R Search Compendium, featuring the companies on this website, is available at any time during the year. You can pick up a copy of the Compendium at AIRAH events, including Industry Nights, conferences and forums.
